YPSAfrica develops a satellite- and model-based maize yield prediction system for Sub-Saharan Africa, initially focusing on pilot regions in Kenya, Zambia and South Africa. By combining Earth Observation, weather and soil data with the PROMET crop growth model in a Digital Twin approach, the project provides information on crop development, yield, production, drought and water stress to support food security, climate resilience and agricultural decision-making.
