One year drought, the next year heavy rain with flooding – the weather is becoming more extreme due to climate change. It is no easy task to make the fields and soils fit for this upheaval.
Vista scientists have used their data to trace how the flood event at the beginning of June affected the wheat fields.
The graphs below show the areas where there is too much water in the wheat fields in blue.
May 29: Still okay. June 5: Waterlogged. June 12: Gradually easing.
