Rights in Product

With delivery the user acquires the right to use the SNOW COVER products for its own internal commercial or private business. The user may use the data for own purposes only and not sell, lease, rent or other-wise disclose it to any third parties.

Copyright acknowledgement

The user acknowledges that copyrights subsists in the Products and that all property and other rights in the Products and all trademarks and logos used on or in relation with the Products shall remain with the service provider or license providers.

Credit

Credit Polar View and the responsible service provider as source of the datasets and maps.
Example: "Snow Map: Polar View" for the Combined Product, or "Snow Map: Polar View / VISTA" for Central Europe, or "Snow Map: Polar View / KSAT" for Scandinavia or "Snow Map: Polar View / SYKE" for the Baltic Region

Warranty

Polar View Service Providers generate the SNOW COVER product on the basis of medium and high resolution optical and C-Band SAR satellite images of different systems and operators. By matching with topographical maps and systematic evaluations using state-or-the-art technologies high accuracy and merchantable quality is assured. Polar View does not assume any liability deemed to have been caused directly or indirectly by any product provided via the Snow Service Portal No other warranties: The foregoing provisions of this clause represent the entire liability of the Polar View Service Providers in respect of a defective product. All other conditions, warranties of any kind, written, oral, statutory, expressed or implied by statute or common law with respect to the product provided via the Snow Service Portal including but not limited to the implied warranty of satisfactory quality, merchantability and fitness for purpose are hereby excluded. No liability for consequential damage: The foregoing provisions state the entire obligation of the Polar View Service Providers with respect to the Products and in no event shall the Polar View Service Providers be liable in any way for any loss of profit, loss of turnover, economic or consequential loss suffered by the customer or any third party arising directly or indirectly from any product provided.

With respect to documents or data provided via the Polar View Snow Service Portal, neither the Polar View Service Providers nor any of their employees, makes any warranty, expressed or implied, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, or assumes any legal liability or responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information, Product, or process disclosed, or represents that its use would not infringe privately held rights.
